Our epoxy resin cast dry-type transformer is a modern, safe, and energy-efficient solution for power distribution. Unlike traditional oil-immersed transformers, it contains zero oil, eliminating leakage risk and fire hazards. The windings are fully encapsulated under vacuum using flame-retardant epoxy resin, resulting in excellent moisture resistance, low partial discharge, and long service life.
This transformer is ideal for projects where safety, space, and environmental requirements are strict — high-rise buildings, hospitals, data centers, tunnels, and industrial facilities.
1. Safety First
No oil → no leakage, no explosion risk
Self-extinguishing epoxy resin meets high fire safety standards
Low partial discharge (<10pC) extends insulation life
2. Quiet & Clean
Noise level as low as 55dB (depending on capacity)
Zero CO₂ emission during operation
Suitable for residential and commercial areas
3. High Efficiency
Low no-load loss and load loss
Meets or exceeds DOE 2016 / IEC 60076 efficiency standards
Significant energy savings over 20+ years of operation
4. Flexible & Customizable
Rated capacity: 50kVA to 5000kVA
Primary voltage: 3kV to 35kV (customizable)
Secondary voltage: 0.4kV to 3.15kV
Tapping range: ±2×2.5% or ±5%
Material: copper or aluminum windings available
Enclosure: IP20, IP23, IP34, IP54 optional
1. Vacuum Casting Process
Unlike simple dipping or varnishing, our coils are cast under high vacuum. This eliminates voids and micro-cavities, drastically reducing partial discharge (typically <10pC). Lower partial discharge means better insulation reliability and a significantly longer transformer life, even under high humidity or pollution conditions.
2. Low Noise Design for Sensitive Environments
Through optimized core joint structures and anti-vibration cushioning between laminations and clamps, our transformers operate at noise levels consistently below NEMA and IEC standards. Typical values range from 50dB to 58dB depending on kVA rating, making them suitable for hospitals, libraries, residential complexes, and indoor substations near offices.
3. High Short-Circuit Withstand Capability
The rigid epoxy encapsulation, combined with high-strength copper or aluminum windings and precision-machined clamping systems, provides excellent mechanical strength. Our transformers are designed and tested to withstand short-circuit forces without winding displacement or deformation, ensuring grid stability during fault conditions.
4. Wide Temperature & Altitude Tolerance
Standard designs operate from -25°C to +50°C ambient temperature. For special projects, we offer high-temperature (up to +55°C) and high-altitude (up to 3000m) versions. Insulation class F (155°C hot-spot) or H (180°C) can be selected based on load profile and environmental conditions.
Energy Savings That Pay Back
Transformer losses directly impact your electricity bill 24/7/365. Our dry type transformers use high-permeability grain-oriented silicon steel (CRGO) cores with low specific losses. Compared to older or lower-efficiency designs, the reduction in no-load loss alone can save thousands of kWh per year, delivering a payback period typically between 1 and 3 years depending on local electricity rates and loading cycles.
Low Life Cycle Cost
No oil → no oil testing, no oil replacement, no leakage cleanup
Epoxy resin encapsulation → no moisture absorption, no periodic varnishing
Robust design → fewer unplanned outages, lower maintenance labor
